Transferring to Safeport
If you previously hosted your domain with another web hosting company, you will need to update your DNS record to point to Safeport’s name servers: ns1.safeport.com and ns2.safeport.com. You will also need to make Safeport the technical contact on your domain record.
For a seamless transfer, sign up with Safeport, upload your website and set up your email, then transfer your domain and update your DNS record.
If you are interested in keeping your company or personal contact information confidential, or if you’d simply like to deal with a single company for your web hosting needs, Safeport can manage your domain name. In order to take advantage of this service, your domain needs to be transferred to our managed hosting account. we will handle the transfer process for you. All we need is the access information for your account with your current registrar. Check the “manage my domain” box at signup, or email sales@safeport.com to transfer management of your domain to Safeport. If access to your registrar account is not possible, please email us at domains@safeport.com and we will walk you through the transfer process.
If you would like to manage your own domain, you may handle all basic domain actions (registering new domains, transfers, renewals, and parking) with your registrar or using our Domain Service Portal. The long term cost of having your domain with us is far less than with most registrars. See our price structure.
